Ahead of Mirzapur 3 OTT release, 'Munna Bhaiya' Divyenndu reveals he won't be part of the new season and why

 Renowned for his portrayal of Munna Bhaiya in the acclaimed Prime Video series 'Mirzapur,' actor Divyenndu has revealed that he won't be returning for the show's highly anticipated third season. Speaking to Humans of Bombay, Divyenndu explicitly stated, "On Humans of Bombay, I shall declare, I am not a part of 'Mirzapur Season 3'." This announcement comes as a significant development for fans of the series, considering Divyenndu's memorable performance as Munna Tripathi, a character that has become iconic in Indian web series culture.

Speaking about his character as Munna Tripathi in Mirzapur series, Divyenndu said it affected his personal life in some way. "It was affecting my personality in a diffeent way. My wife used to point out...why are you reacting this way...
It did affect me a great deal. This type of character, either you don't do it or go deep into it."

"At times I used to to be very dark...felt very suffocated. That connection is still inside...if you give the same chemical it can still go off. When you do want to such character...one should not over-romanticize it and go too deep into it," he added.

From a young age, Divyenndu harbored dreams of becoming a hero, with aspirations set on the silver screen. Engaging in theatrical activities during his school and college years, it wasn't until college that he recognized his calling to pursue acting professionally. Subsequently, he enrolled at the prestigious Film and Television Institute of India, a renowned institution revered by aspiring talents in the film industry.

Despite envisioning a career focused on arthouse films and aspiring to be a specific type of actor, Divyenndu's journey has taken unexpected turns. Initially facing challenges securing work in Mumbai, his breakthrough came unexpectedly through an advertisement.

Reflecting on matters of the heart, Divyenndu shared his personal love story, finding resonance in the famous line "Pyaar Dosti Hai" (Love is Friendship). Recounting his relationship with his wife Akanksha, whom he had been friends with for a long time, Divyenndu confessed to concealing his feelings out of fear. However, once Akanksha realized his affection, their love story blossomed, with Divyenndu cherishing her mere presence as the epitome of love.

Navigating through auditions, rejections, and a rollercoaster of emotions, Divyenndu's journey in the film industry was far from easy. Despite enduring over three years of trials and tribulations, his persistence eventually paid off, leading him to find success in the realm of acting.
